Complain Mode

It's not a week after I started working at RK, and I'm unemployed again. I suppose there's no need to flaunt it, but I was fired. On my fourth day. Here's my expert opinion. If you're training someone to do a job, do not criticize him or her for not doing a job before you a) explain how to do it and b) tell him or her to do it. But, I digress. I mean to complain of other things.

Like Little Lambs and my perpetual uncertainty with them. I applied in May, got my fingerprints taken, had a pre-interview, and then I waited; for about a month. I don't remember exactly how long I waited for a call back. I eventually gave up. It was then that they called me and asked if I wanted to come in for an interview. I, of course, was more than willing and a lot excited. Again, I don't remember the time span or how everything went down, but they (Charity and Lynn, the head people) asked for three references, a physical, and five lesson plans. I went to work asking for references from people who've seen me work with kids. The first two were compliant, the third took a bit longer, but she sent it. I've no room to complain. The last-ish thing to do was the physical, which I had a time getting. I got lost to the Health Dept. twice only to find out that they don't do physicals. There's a family walk-in clinic that does physicals, but it was closed after 11 the day I went (Tuesday) so I came back Wednesday, paid 60.00 and waited. My next task was to write five lesson plans for them. Charity strongly recommended that I obtain a library card. I did so, but it cost 20.00 because I had no proof that I now live in Union City. No matter, they're school resources are awesome. So I checked out my books (which now reminds me of how long I've had them. *squeek* Over due!) and wrote my lesson plans. I turned in the physical and showed the head hanchos my work. They expressed that they were impressed. I even had a working interview, which was stressful for lack structure in the classroom and a lack of instruction. The kids were sweet, but no one told me what to do, where to put things... Frustration aboundeth.

So then, I waited again. I was told that I would be called soon because Lynn was writing up a schedule. This was two weeks ago. I got a call last week (2nd day at RK) and the very difficult to hear message to call back ASAP. I called back Monday. Wait. Tuesday. I don't remember. At any rate. Okay, I've definitely confused all the dates. So yeah. After many phone calls, most of those unanswered. (I want mashed potatoes and gravy) I'm told to come to LL and then they say to come back in the morning and watch a class. They tell me where I'll be, what I'll be doing-- an enormous improvement to the last time I wast there. It's exciting. And at the end of the day... they said they'd call me. Today. Which is what I'm currently waiting for. Really, I need to chower.

Thank you. End rant.

Good night!

Today I worked my first day at Rural King. It's nice. Employment, I mean. Yay five! I'm so glad to have a job. The work day started at 8, my day started at 7 when I was awakened by Drew. Yea, verily. I woke up to him standing in my door way. My first thought was "Murrhmmmrr" with a general sense of "Huh?". I had fallen asleep on top of my phone and accidentally turned it off. Alarm clock fail, boyfriend win.

It was my intention to go to sleep early tonight because tomorrow I go in at 7. I started laundry a bit later than I should have. At any rate, I'm waiting for the washer to finish so's I can transfer clothes to the dryer.

I have a job. I HAVE A JOB! This is fun. AND there's a very relaxed dress code. w00t. Oh, oh, and since it's in Martin, I can hang out at the B after work. ^_^ Did I mention? I'm employed.

This is what blessed feels like.
